Severn Trader is a classic houseboat, built according to a traditional Dutch model with contemporary techniques and a large dose of its own character. Functionality and romance go hand in hand. This boat is a gem for those dreaming of long romantic journeys along British or European canals. The Severn is the longest river in the United Kingdom. It is an important shipping route, known for its strong tides. It flows from Wales all the way to the Bristol Channel.

This houseboat was built on commission for its first and current owner. It is a compact boat with an enormous amount of light and space on board. Its exterior is robust with sturdy rails and a sharp contrast between the black tough hull and its white superstructure. The wooden wheelhouse refers to the glory days of shipping. It is completely finished with wood. You are calmed by its simplicity and harmony. There are two benches with a classic red/white upholstery. Through the wheelhouse, you go forward to the living area or backward to the guest cabin. The living area is very bright. All wooden walls and the ceiling are painted white. Everywhere you find romantic details, such as the semi-circular shutters on the ship's windows. The centerpiece in the kitchen is the large stove. With this, you can cook and provide heat to the radiators. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a large refrigerator. In the living area, you have a seating area with two sofas and a cozy dining table. The furniture remains on board so that you as the second owner can maintain the same atmosphere. One corner is tiled, and there is a small white stove. There is also a small desk. In the bow, there is a guest cabin with a centrally placed bed. Here too, the walls and ceilings are beautifully painted white, combined with a wooden back wall and shelves on the many cabinets. This room has its own bathroom with shower, toilet, and hand basin. In the same romantic style, of course. The cabin at the back is also a gem. Here you find the same holiday atmosphere. This bathroom is slightly smaller, still with a toilet, washbasin, and shower. Next to the stairs to the wheelhouse, you find the access to the engine room. Reliable engine, strong generator, a sturdy pack of batteries, and sufficient water and fuel. This boat can set sail for a long time.
