Designed by Ron Holland and built by Master Marine (UK) the Eygthene 24 is a quarter tonner designed for speed. The exact date of build of Ethelred is not known but is believed to be in the early 1980s.
The Yachting Monthly review of the design said they make a good entry level club racer or a sprightly and entertaining pocket cruiser.
This example is in need of some cosmetic restoration.
The engine was recently reconditioned and invoices are available. The hull underwent osmosis treatment two years ago.
The Eygthene has a total of four berths available, two in the fore cabin, and two in the saloon. There is a sea toilet located on the port side of the saloon.
A navigation table is fitted over the starboard quarter berth and stows away when not in use.
The galley has a Plastimo Neptune 2000 gas stove with 2 burners and grill. There is a sink with pumped cold water. The water system is new.
