This Lochin 33 was purpose built for pilotage operations by Lochin Marine (Rye) Ltd in the 1980's. The 'Mallard' served initially with the Plymouth Pilotage Authority and subsequently operated with an East Coast port. The vessel was built to provide a pushing facility for ships negotiating a narrow channel. Current without servicable engines - previously fitted with Volvo TAMD63L units. This vessel will require refitting but, subject to a structural assessment, could again serve as a pilot tender. Previously Coded to MCA Cat. 3. TO BE SOLD 'AS IS WHERE SEEN' - OFFERS INVITED

Previously a 24V battery system
Previously installed were Twin VOLVO TAMD 63 L Diesel engines with reduction gear boxes driving conventionally to the stern gear. These engines are thought to be beyond functional use and will require replacement.

WHEELHOUSE: Reverse shear windscreens with typically pilot layout - central door providing access to the engine room and forward area. Helm console to port and crew seat to starboard and further seating behind for pilots / crew. The cabin has three fixed port lights P&S and a cenral door to the after deck which is flush to gunwhale. ENGINE ROOM: The central 'dogged' door leads forward to the engine room with excellent service access to the engines which are conventionally aligned to the stern gear. A 'soft patch' access is fitted above for engine extration. The FOREPEAK AREA is currently used for storage.
