Range Boat - 39 Day Boat

Motor BoatsSpeed BoatsRange Boat39 Day Boat

Nigel Irens design Range Boat 39 Day Boat offers Owners a motor yacht capable of serious cruising, which has gained a solid reputation as a comfortable and exceptionally seaworthy vessel. Her clean classic lines with wave-piercing bow, displacing five tonnes and powered by a single 135hp Perkins Sabre diesel engine allows for effortless and elegant 'gliding'. Built in 2003, her current Owner commissioned a refit in 2013 with the addition of a bow thruster, new upholstery and cockpit teak. A very pretty boat that will have people tripping over themselves to help take your mooring lines!

Forecabin with a generous double berth V-berth.
A curtain separates from the washing/dressing area with vanity unit with carbon wash basin and surround, and pull out shower, teak grated floor with shower pump.
Heads compartment with WC (empties into a holding tank, which can either be pumped out at sea or through a fitting on the deck). Hanging locker opposite heads compartment.

Wheelhouse with L-shaped seating to port which converts to another double berth, with a table that can be moved to the cockpit. Drawers beneath seating with tools in dedicated slots and a supply of spares, and more storage and a roving bilge pump behind the cushions. On the starboard side is the helm seat, by an opening window, with Raymarine instruments, autopilot and chartplotter, VHF and all the usual controls, gauges and switches.

The linear galley has a front-loading fridge, a two-burner Smev gas hob and a single bowl stainless steel sink with a mixer tap – hot water comes from a calorifier or the engine. Beneath the wheelhouse floor are the batteries and the fuel tank, and spare anchor. The rear windows of the wheelhouse can be removed on sunny days.

The cockpit is huge, with lockers everywhere. The cockpit seats have cushions, and the wheelhouse table can fold out to form an infill which makes a sunpad. The engine sits in the middle of the cockpit under a well-soundproofed box which can be completely removed – the entire motor is incredibly easy to get at for servicing. The large lazarette contains the gas cylinders and easily accommodates the inflatable tender (still unused) and an emergency tiller, as well as the mechanism for the autopilot.

The size of the bathing platform has been increased, with the addition of a stainless steel boarding ladder and a mount for the outboard. There is also a bathing ladder under the platform.
