The Sadler 25 comes from David Sadler's initial Contessa 26 design. He wanted to improve the design and the result of these endeavours was the Sadler 25, which emerged as a particularly attractive yacht with significant tumblehome, transom hung rudder (for accessibility and more effective steering down wind), a bold sheer (which maintained a dryer boat upwind) and increased beam, to give more power to windward and reduction of rolling. 'Black Bess' has had a new Yanmar diesel engine fitted in 2017 and has been little used since, hence the reason for sale. There is a July 2017 survey report available.
