The classic and well tested Westerly Storm 33 is another Ed Dubois designed yacht. Thoroughly capable of sailing in all weather, she is a fantastic all rounder. The modern interior layout boasts 7 berths, with two separate cabins off from the main saloon. To the bow, you have a large V berth cabin with modest stowage underneath. A hanging locker, washbasin and mirror as well. Opening hatch onto the foredeck. In the saloon, a dinette to port which turns into a double berth. Fixed table with drop leaves in the centre. A single settee berth opposite to starboard. Aft of the saloon is the chart table to starboard with oil skin locker just behind. The galley opposite to port has a two burner gimballed gas cooker with grill and oven (new 2012). A deep cool box with fridge unit (new 2012), twin stainless sinks with a hot and cold pressurised water system finishes off the galley (new mixer tap 2012). 140 litre fresh water capacity split between two stainless steel tanks. In the port quarter off from the galley is a double cabin with hanging locker. In the starboard quarter is a spacious heads with washbasin, marine toilet and shower.
Mechanical Systems
Underneath the companionway is the Volvo Penta MD2002 twin cylinder 18 hp diesel engine. Electric start, seawater cooled and shaft drive. Single lever control. 80 litre fuel capacity in a stainless steel tank which will give approximately a 250 mile range when cruising at 5 knots. The maximum speed under engine is 7 knots.
