The Stag 28 has a spacious well finished interior and offers good performance without excessive draft - ideal for exploring the shallow waters of the East Coast and beyond. 'Vamoose' is presented for sale in very good condition and has been well maintained throughout her current owners 11 years of ownership. She has been cruised extensively round the East and South coasts of the UK as well as Holland, Belgium and France. A 2018 survey is available on request. Accommodation
The attractive accommodation offers up to five berths in two cabins with approximately 6'4" max. headooom. V berth forward with infill and stowage under. Hatch to foredeck. Hanging lockers. In saloon, U shaped dinette to starboard converts to double berth. Linear galley to port. Laminate worktops with teak fiddles. Stainless steel sink with in-fill cover. Plastimo Neptune 2000 gimballed two burner gas cooker with oven and grill. Cool box. Separate heads compartment to aft to starboard with Brydon marine toilet and stainless steel washbasin and shower/mixer tap. Chart table opposite with quarter berth aft. Oilskin locker. Pressurised hot and cold freshwater supply to galley sink and heads wash basin. Carpets and curtains throughout.
Mechanical Systems
Located under the cockpit, Volvo 2002, two cylinder, 18hp diesel engine. Engine fitted in about 2000. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Shaft drive to Bruntons Varifold two blade propeller. New cutless bearing 2016. Electric start. Single lever control. Engine control panel. 8 gallon fuel capacity in stainless steel tank. Engine serviced annually, last in March 2019.

2 x 12 volt batteries charging from alternator. 12 volt distribution panel. 240 volt shore power system with Sterling battery charger & immersion heater.

Construction
Built in 1980 by Emsworth Shipyard to a design by Peter Milne, she is one of the last models to be built, hull number 56. White GRP hull with blue sheer stripe. Under water hull epoxied in approximately 2000. Black anodised aluminium toe rail. Teak rubbing strake. White GRP decks with a grey Treadmaster and painted non-slip surfaces. Long cast iron fin keel. Spade hung rudder. Tiller steering. Self-draining cockpit and gas bottle locker. Teak cockpit grating.
