Below decks is what you would expect from a quality builder such as Hallberg Rassy. The Rasmus 35, meaning "God of Winds", became the blueprint for subsequent Hallberg Rassy designs. She looks just as appealing today as when the yacht was first unleashed in 1976. Her centre cockpit divides the boat into three clear areas. She benefits from a large, self contained aft cabin which offers both privacy when sailing with friends and companionship when sailing as a couple with one on the helm and the other off watch. The main saloon is entered from the companionway via a sliding hatch and a three piece washboard system. The top section is louvered for ventilation.
Two steps down and you are in the saloon with full standing headroom. The interior woodwork is a combination of mahogany solid wood and mahogany faced marine ply. All the upholstery was replaced in 2016 with new cushions and new smart blue/grey soft fabrics. These are in excellent condition. To port is a U-Shaped seating area with well upholstered seating and a wooden dining table. The table will lower and, with added infill cushions converts this space to a double berth. Opposite is the linear galley featuring a Force 10 Marine, gas oven with 2-burner hob and internal grill. Adjacent is a stainless steel sink with drainer behind with an emergency manual fresh water tap and a pressurised tap proving both hot and cold water. There is an Isotherm top loading fridge for perishables. Moving aft at the end of the galley is the chart table/navigation area with chart storage, forward facing seat, switch panel and chart light.
Between the saloon and the forecabin is a double doored hanging space to starboard and opposite a heads compartment with manual sea toilet, stainless steel sink with pressurised mixer tap and cupboard storage in the hull and beneath the sink. The toilet is fitted with a holding tank.
Large fore cabin with v-Berth or double bed. Storage beneath the berths in drawers. Hull interior lined with mahogany slats. Shelving along hull. New opening deck hatch with fly screen. New LED red/white reading lights. Curtains to ports.
The boat has abundant storage either beneath the berths or in the hull mounted cupboards. This is a true offshore passage maker that is self sufficient for extended periods of time and equally at home coastal port hopping.

Bermudan sloop rigged yacht with deck stepped aluminium Selden spars. The whole rig and associated standing and running rigging was replaced in 2015. After consultation between the owner, Hallberg Rassy and Selden it was agreed to fit a mast 1 meter taller than the original Rasmus spec. This significantly improved her light air performance. The owner decided to update the in-mast furling and set up a sail plan that allowed him to safe sail short handed or solo. As a result all reefing lines are led aft to the cockpit eliminating the need to go forward during a passage. The sails were replaced in 2018 with custom made Elvstrom Offshore Dacron main and genoa. This new set up will provide many years of safe cruising before replacement is needed.
