The Contest 33 is a well-designed and fast family cruiser with good performance and a comfortable interior. 'Morven' has been well maintained by a couple who have cruised around the UK, the Mediterranean and have recently completed an Atlantic circuit via the Caribbean and the Azores. The layout offers up to 5 berths with one separate sleeping cabin. There is full standing headroom and good ventilation throughout. In fore-cabin, large V berth, with opening hatch to the foredeck and storage underneath. Aft to port is the heads, marine toilet and basin with hand pumped water. Opposite to starboard is a large hanging locker and drawers for storage. This is followed by the roomy saloon with two single berths either side of the large double drop leaf table in the centre. 12v coolbox under the port settee berth. In the Starboard quarter is the L shaped galley with a 2 burner gas hob with grill and oven. Stainless steel sink with hand pumped water. Good storage underneath and behind. Opposite on the port side is the forward facing chart table with instruments. A single quarter berth running after from there. Green checkered upholstery throughout. 200L water capacity.
Mechanical Systems
Located centrally under the companionway steps is a Yanmar 2GM20F 18hp diesel fitted in 1999. Electric start. Freshwater cooled via raw water heat exchanger. Shaft drive to three bladed prop. Single lever control. 35L stainless steel fuel tank.

Built in 1973 by the well known Dutch Conyplex builder in Alkmaar. Painted white GRP hull. White GRP superstructure with teak laid decks, handrails, cockpit seats and soles. Encapsulated long fin keel with skeg hung rudder. Wheel steering. Aft self-draining cockpit. Stainless steel gantry over the pushpit with wind generator and solar panel on. Last surveyed in 2013 with all recommendations done.
