Beneteau Oceanis 40 built and launched in 2010. This three cabin, 2 heads version is in good condition and will suit those yachtsmen who wish to spend extended periods afloat.
Well equipped boat at time of build with many added extras to ensure that your time on board is more enjoyable.
This Beneteau Oceanis 40 has the full cockpit enclosure which give a pleasant space to sit on colder days. The canopy and spray hood have been completely refurbished and have new windows. The rear and side panels unzip leaving a bimini top arrangement. The enclosure also protects the cockpit and keeps the cockpit sole and teak topped lockers clean. The cockpit sole is teak and the central table has teak inlay.
The engine is the extremely reliable and economical Yanmar 3JH4E inboard diesel engine. This 40hp unit has a reduction gearbox driving a 3-bladed folding Kiwi prop. This Oceanis 40 has twin wheels and is fitted with a bow thruster making the boat easy to handle in all situations.
Sailing is a dream thanks to the large balanced rig. All lines are led aft so that sailing is possible solo or with an inexperienced crew.

Accommodation :
Interior is plush and comfortable. Interior design by Italian yacht designers Nauta Design who have produced a welcoming, light and a feeling of space that will make extended periods afloat both relaxing and memorable.
3 double cabin layout with twin guest cabins aft and an en-suite owners cabin in bow.
The saloon is accessed via the large companionway with its sliding hatch and vented saloon style doors. The headroom is 6 feet plus as you would expect from a boat of this quality.

Large seating/dining area to starboard with foam upholstery covered in practical and easy clean cream "leatherette". Deluxe dining table that doubles in size when required.
Opposite is a linear galley with white easy clean work tops and plentiful storage. Stainless steel double sinks with hot and cold pressurised water. Acrylic sink covers double as chopping boards. Top loading 170 litre capacity fridge with separate ice compartment. This is fitted with a drain for easy cleaning. Gimballed gas oven with 2-burner hob. A 220V microwave oven provides a quick and easy alternative.

Aft of the galley is a forward facing chart table with chart storage and seat. 12/220V panel with tank and battery gauges with visual and audible low level alarms. 

Twin aft cabins with large double berths, hanging lockers, 12V deck head lights and reading lights. All mattresses are marine grade damp and mite proof. The starboard aft cabin has access to the saloon heads. This large area has a moulded sink unit, mirrored angled storage units, large panoramic window with privacy curtain and electric flush marine toilet with holding tank. Separate shower stall with automatic waste water pump out and easy clean PMNA shower screen.

Owners cabin in bow with large double berth, hanging locker, shelved unit, opening ports for ventilation and 12V lighting. En-suite heads with electric flush marine toilet, sink unit and shower with fold away screen.

All opening deck hatches are fitted with mosquito and blackout screens. Boat is kept warm and dry by Eberspacher cabin heating.

Mechanical :
Vessel powered by a very economical, 3 cylinder, 40hp inboard diesel engine. Reduction gearbox driving stainless steel water cooled shaft and feathering KIWI propeller. Single lever engine control and engine start panel at starboard helm. Vessel fitted with a bow thruster making berthing and single handed boat movements easy.
Engine housed beneath the companionway steps in a sound proofed compartment. The companionway steps rise on a gas assisted strut for easy access for daily checks and servicing. Engine serviced in October 2016.
12/220V power with bank of 5 batteries providing dedicated engine start, bow thruster and domestic power. These are recharged via the 80amp engine alternator or smart charge battery charger when attached to shore power.

Rigging and Spars:
 9/10ths fractional deck stepped mast with two sets of aft swept spreaders. Stainless steel standing rigging with twin backstay. All lines led aft to cockpit via a series of blocks and deck organisers making short handed sailing comfortable and practical. Self tailing genoa sheet and halyard winches. Electric upgraded main halyard winch to port. Aluminium boom with stack pack system for mainsail.
