Traditional Gleóiteog and one of the last remaining boats built in 1929 by the Casey Brothers of Mweenish Island, Connemara, County Galway in the west of Ireland. An tUltach has recently been completely rebuilt and documented in "Watercraft" magazine. This is a small Galway Hooker known as a Gleóiteog and originally a working boat and now a classic day sailer. These sturdy boats were built for carrying a load/cargo of turf, fish, building materials and provisions to the Islands of Connemara in Galway Bay. This vessel was formerly used as a fishing boat. Now rigged in the traditional manner with gaff main, jib on bowsprit and a staysail. Traditional sails made in 2013 by Dara Baily of Connemara. An tUltach presents a unique opportunity to acquire a totally refurbished example of the beautiful Gleóiteog classic at a fraction of the rebuild cost.
