The Autumn Boat Broker Seminar

Last month saw us host our inaugural Boatshop24 boat Broker seminar. Taking place on the banks of the river Hamble at the Royal Southern Yacht Club, the event was attended by just under 30 brokers representing a number of businesses of various marine specialities.


The event was aimed at delivering insightful and immediately actionable hints and tips that the attendees could take away from the day and put into action.




Here at Boatshop24 we have built up a vast array of knowledge since our inception. We feel it essential to share this wealth of knowledge within our market and to ensure we are ultimately assisting brokers to maximise their online presence.


The theme of the day was clear, four modules across a range of topics within the online marketing spectrum, specifically tailored to the marine industry. Topics covered included, Search Engine Optimisation, Paid Google Campaigns, Social Media and managing response. These topics were delivered by our in-house experts who work within these fields on a daily basis.


When creating the content for the day we were keen to ensure that we catered for the needs of all attendees. In the room, there was a broad spectrum of knowledge. Some brokers who hadn't used social media, or even heard of search engine optimisation to those brokers who actively work to fully utilise these channels for their business on a daily basis. To that end the content of the day was broad and everyone leaving at the end of the day stated that they had learnt something new. Each topic was rounded off by opening the floor up to questions to put the power firmly in the hands of the seminar attendees.



Aside from the content of the day the seminar was also a fantastic opportunity for us to meet customers that had recently joined us and to get to know our existing customers even better. However, this day was open to all boat brokers and wasn't only limited to Boatshop24 customers, so it was great to meet brand new faces. The seminar also provided the perfect environment for fellow brokers to network and connect with like-minded businesses and their employees.
