Boat and yacht lovers can expect to be bowled over at the next boot Düsseldorf, which takes place from 23rd to to 31st January 2016. The massive trade fair and celebration of water-based leisure pursuits is ready to make dreams come true, with an incredible 2.35 million square feet of exhibition space, 1,700 exhibitors and 17 action packed halls.
boot is considered to be the most important gathering for the marine leisure industry in the world. Around 250,000 private and trade visitors attended each year, from all corners of the globe.
The motto of boot Düsseldorf is “360° water sports“, meaning the show will highlight all leisure pursuits that take place in, on, or by the water - boating and sailing, rowing, kayaking, diving, surfing, wakeboarding, angling and more. Expertise will be on hand to demonstrate new equipment, the latest techniques, and to inspire visitors to take up an exciting new hobby.
Exhibitors think big at boot
Goetz-Ulf Jungmichel, Director of boot Düsseldorf says exhibitors pull out all the stops for fantastic displays at the German show. “We know that the companies exhibiting focus their trade fair budgets especially on boot Düsseldorf and always make sure they present their exhibits as magnificently as possible here,” he says. “At our event, visitors can inspect, examine and experience the new boat, diving equipment or wakeboard he is interested in. This helps to make the trade fair an outstanding success for the exhibitors too, because many visitors take their buying decisions directly at boot Düsseldorf. This year the companies are very motivated, and in some cases are booking larger presentation areas too.”
More than 1,700 boats and yachts
This year at boot Düsseldorf over 1,700 boats and yachts are on display. Nine of the 17 halls are devoted to boating alone and there will be an entire range of water vehicles on show, from sailing yachts to motor boats and from canoes to rowing boats.
With 440 shipyard exhibitors at the show, visitors who love boats will be able to experience the latest high-tech developments with increasingly light and environmentally sophisticated materials. There will also be high-quality classic boats and a wide range of sailing and motor yachts to view and buy.
While German exhibitors will dominate, there is a solid presence of foreign exhibitors, particularly from the major water sports nations, such as the Netherlands, Italy, France and Great Britain. All of the Eastern Caribbean states (the Windward Islands), are on board for the first time, with such exotic and attractive destinations as Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, the British Virgin Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Martinique, Monserrat, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
From 2.5 horsepower outboard motors to 5,000 horsepower luxury yachts boot Düsseldorf is giving serious coverage to the motor and motorboat segment this year. While young beginners are most likely to take a look at the smallest 2.5 horsepower motors, the luxury segment at the trade fair is represented by such yachts as the Princess. Princess Yachts will be celebrating the global launch of the stunning Princess 30M superyacht (pictured below). Visitors can see for themselves the elegant, contemporary lines for which the M Class is famous. This will be the biggest yacht at boot Düsseldorf 2016.
About 60 luxury yachts, boats and tenders will be on show at the eagerly anticipated Luxury Yacht Hall 6. There’s an even wider range of yachts between 20 and 25 metres long than usual including fabulous boats from Bénéteau (with its high-quality Monte Carlo yachts) and Jeanneau (with the elegant Prestige yachts). Also don’t miss luxury yachts from Azimut, Sunseeker and more.
Shops, food, and fun on the water
Maximise your family fun boot Düsseldorf by spending time exploring boutiques, chandlery and kit stores, restaurants and bars. This year the popular themed and adventure worlds will inspire visitors too. Making boot a truly interactive, mega event, 17 exhibition halls have been turned into a magical, water-based world.
Kitesurfing, wakeboarding, skimboarding, wakeskating or stand-up paddling – just about every current water sport trend is covered by Beach World in Hall 1. If you’re more into recreational diving, head to Hall 3 to learn about popular and exotic recreational diving destinations. Egypt will be there again with a joint 246 square metre stand, where the presentation will include the spectacular reefs in the Red Sea diving locations. The Philippines, Indonesia, Turkey and Greece will be highlighting their diverse diving resorts too.
With such a wide range of exhibits on offer, there is undoubtedly something to interest everyone at boot Düsseldorf 2016.
