1914 (stated) Converted Dutch sailing barge.
'Gypsy' is a Westlander Tjalk design, built as a sailing barge and converted to a motor barge with live aboard accommodation. Length 12.3m Beam 2.81m Depth 0.95m Draft fwd 0.37m Draft aft 0.76m ( to bottom of rudder) Builder Unknown, built in Holland, repotedly 1914. Hull Construction. Built to a recognised Dutch design, riveted and lap jointed iron shell plate on built-up riveted S-shaped transverse frames consisting of 1 1/2 " equal angle top and bottom with flat bar web plates at approx 320mm centres. Ultrasonic thickness gauge measurements indicate a nominal 1/4" shell plate was used.

'Gypsy' has been with her present owner for four years and has been moored in Hampton Wick, Now for sale as owner id moving ashore. Option for the original mooring may be possible.
Plating is required in three areas of the hull where the shell plate is less than 4mm thick as stated on last survey. All other survey recommendations have been addressed.
