Construction
RCD Status: The yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC or RCDII (2013/53/EU as appropriate (Recreational Craft Directive) and is categorised A – “Ocean” (or Cat B – whichever is appropriate)
Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:
- The entire construction (planking + frames) of the hulls and superstructures is in aluminium alloy 5083 H111.
- The lined sheet is welded inside and outside (MIG processes) and checked by penetrant testing.
- The stringers, ribs and floors are welded alternately.
- Watertight bulkheads are continuously welded on both sides.
- Integrated diesel and water tanks.
- For non-visible and non-coated surfaces, the welds are not ground. This makes it possible to increase safety in terms of the resistance of the welds under the nacelle subjected to slamming.
- Thermal and sound insulation above the waterline by projected polyurethane foam.
- Reinforced insulation of the engine compartments and the generator compartment: Rock wool plus machine and sound insulation foam plus perforated aluminium protective sheet.
- Mixed International / awl grip process.
- Underwater parts receive the following treatment with epoxy primer + anti-fouling paint: Sanding – degreasing – pickling – 3 to 4 coats of epoxy primer totaling 200 μ – 1 coat of epoxy vinyl of 50 μ – 2 coats of antifouling.
- The topsides receive the following epoxy primer treatment: Sanding – degreasing – pickling – 1 coat of 50 μ epoxy primer – application of epoxy filler – sanding – 1 polyurethane undercoat – 3 polyester urethane finishing coats.
- The deck, on its exposed parts, and in the traffic areas, receives the epoxy paint treatment with the addition of anti-slip.
- Rear cockpit, flybridge, skirts and 8mm thick teak steps.
