Description
Built in 2010 by the ECAN shipyard and designed by naval architect Elie Canivec, YALA is a high-performance and robust Class 40 yacht. Constructed with an epoxy/foam sandwich, it combines lightness and rigidity to deliver optimal performance, even in the most demanding weather conditions. This yacht has proven its competitiveness by winning the Vintage ranking of the Transat Jacques Vabre 2021 and participating in the Les Sables – Les Açores – Les Sables race in 2023 after an upgrade to meet the latest Class 40 regulations.
YALA underwent major refits in 2021 and 2023, including a complete repainting, a new ballast system, as well as improvements in safety and electronics. It is fully compliant with 2023 Class 40 standards and equipped for offshore sailing, featuring a 4-person life raft (2021), an EPIRB (2021), and updated safety equipment.
With its proven racing performance and impeccable technical condition, YALA is ready to take on new challenges and deliver an exceptional sailing experience to its next owner.
