Rare Opportunity Quality Riviera 48 Sports Fisher
World renowned Australian builder Bill Barry-Cotter. Professionally maintained, well cared for, she will provide great enjoyment for the next owner being suited as a family boat or for a keen fisherman.
The Riviera is heavily built on a solid fiberglass hull, including a forward collision bulkhead, and two watertight bulkheads in the engine room. The high flared bow provides an incredibly sea kindly ride for the toughest of conditions.
The interior features high gloss teak throughout and her wide beam provides a spacious Main Salon with a dinette to port, two small steps down to the well equipped Galley with Microwave, ceramic hob, and dishwasher, fridge and freezer, plus a separate bar fridge/icemaker (requires service). Her three-stateroom interior offers two double staterooms, and a twin bunk style cabin. There are 2 Heads & showers.
The large cockpit offers easy access to the water via a swim platform and transom gate. Cockpit access to the engine room and to the large fly bridge provide excellent access to service and operation. For the serious fisherman the cockpit has ample hold space, rod holders, washdown and concealed sinks, once doubles as a cooler for catch storage.

The Riviera 48 Open Flybridge model was a luxury cruiser that for the first time offered owners the option of an enclosed or open flybridge.
As well, there were a range of accommodation options in three cabins plus two well-equipped bathrooms. The standard layout provided for a master stateroom with double bed amidships on the starboard side, a forward guest double cabin and pullman-style bunks on the port side. The bathrooms were on either side, directly aft of the forward cabin.
Options included a V-berth forward and twin beds in the starboard midships cabin. Mix or match.
The galley included a two-burner electric cooktop, twin moulded sinks, an under bench microwave oven and large fridge. A servery separated the galley from the port side U-shape dinette.
The aft cockpit was ideal for fishing or entertaining while the large flybridge, accessed by a port side ladder, included aft helm station with skipper and companion seats and spacious seating for guests forward.
Modern Boating magazine’s reviewer concluded: “The 48 is a true flagship of the range that can proudly carry the Riviera name alongside the best of the flybridge convertibles anywhere in the world.”
The company built 169 Riviera 48s over 12 years between 1993 and 2004.
