Designed by John Bennett to a very definite design brief, the Atlantic 42 is a very capable sea boat with predictable handling in all sea states. It also has the advantage of being able to navigate any canal or inland waterway in Northern Europe as it has a maximum air draft of 3.4m to allow safe passage under any bridge on the European navigable waterway system. The radar arch is easily lowered and is gas assisted to make this a simple, one person, operation.
Many Atlantic owners regularly cruise the international rivers and canals with Germany, France, Holland and Belgium regularly featuring in their log books with one or two more intrepid owners going still further........the USA for example!

Plumbing Systems: Fresh Water & Water Heating System: Jabsco diaphragm pump with accumulator tank. Hot water supplied by way of calorifier which can be heated by the port engine whilst the engine is running, or by immersion heater, the calorifier is fitted with a temperature controlled valve to avoid overheating of the hot water.
