Originally commissioned by movie impresario Barney Balaban in 1935, who a year later became president of Paramount Pictures, ‘Judith R’ underwent a 12 year restoration at Wooten’s Boatyard and was relaunched in 2015. Since then the owners have spent their time sailing both the tidal and non-tidal reaches of the River Thames with a memorable trip sailing through London and through the Thames Barrier where she was able to let her 1450 hp free and get up to top speed.
