Sailing BoatsBlue Water CruisersProutSnowgoose Elite 37
The Prout Snowgoose 37 is considered by many to be the ultimate cruising catamaran available on a sensible budget, a great blend of accommodation, deck space, and solid build quality, often used for serious liveaboard cruising, easily shorthanded, and a proven ocean passage maker. The Elite is the most sought-after version, with a wider beam giving improved space, and more headroom. Seeadler is a very good example of her kind, with the more versatile and spacious feeling open plan layout, with lots of upgrades during her current and previous ownership including a bow thruster, replacement engine and saildrive, standing rigging, hot water, heating, upgraded nav equipment, and more. Importantly, she has also had replacement windows and headlinings, the two most common issues found, and difficult and expensive to remedy. Only for sale due to a change of plans, she is priced competitively so we don't expect her to be available for long! The Prout Snowgoose Elite open plan layout offers up to 7 berths (this could be increased to a cosy 9 if required) in three cabins and the saloon, with 6'4" maximum headroom (in the hulls) and excellent stowage. DECK SALOON: A light and spacious saloon consisting of a large U-shaped seating around a central table which converts to form a double berth forward. If more sleeping accommodation was required on an occasional basis it would be very easy to convert the seating to offer additional berths. GALLEY: A large linear galley in the starboard passageway, with excellent worktop space (new surfaces 2008), and equipped with Neptune 2600 2-burner gas cooker with grill and oven (new 2008), microwave, twin galley sinks (new 2008), Indel-B Cruise fridge (new 2008), and excellent storage in a range of cupboards, drawers and shelves. PORT PASSAGEWAY: This versatile space incorporates a long desk top area ideal for working aboard, chart work or hobbies, whilst also offering large amounts of easily accessed storage in a variety of cupboards and lockers. Other Snowgoose owners have also added further storage here, or in at least one case, created a pop-up large screen TV system with very little impact on storage or other uses! AFT CABINS: Located to port and starboard, each fitted with a double berth, dressing area, hanging locker, further storage, and an opening Gebo hatch (new 2015) to the aft deck. STARBOARD FORECABIN: Fitted with a generous single berth and storage areas, this cabin could easily be utilised as additional storage for long cruises. HEADS COMPARTMENT: Forward to port is a generous heads compartment with a marine toilet, shower, washbasin, and storage areas. GENERAL EQUIPMENT: Pressurised hot and cold water system via a 30L calorifier (new 2007) with immersion coil. Mikuni diesel fired warm air heating system (new 2004, serviced 2017).
