The Holman Shaker is a traditional, classic style cruising yacht with elegant lines and the well mannered performance one would expect of a design by Kim Holman.  Ngaire, pronounced Nyree, was built for a government officer returning from a posting in New Zealand - Ngaire is Maori for Queen - and shares almost identical lines of this famous class.  She is a comfortable sea boat with a seakindly motion and nimble performance.  The present owner bought her in 1998 and embarked on a comprehensive programme of refurbishment which included renewing the engine, standing and running rigging, new toe rails, a new self draining cockpit new sails and a complete revamp of the interior to bring her up-to-date.  Much equipment has been renewed and she is now in really nice condition for a boat of this vintage.  A lovely classic yacht that draws admiring looks wherever she sails.
