It was love at first sight… sheer elegance – ‘A good sea boat’ we said. We chose the Owners layout with its big saloon, neat tucked away galley and loads of locker storage space. We added a generator to make being offshore as comfy as possible, everything charged up, plenty of hot water. She is a joy to sail – zips through the water and maintains her course well, and all the sail work can be done from the cockpit. The easy-access stern is great for the dinghy and for diving, with the luxury of a fresh-water shower. The love affair has continued for 20 years – we looked after her, she looked after us – but our sailing days are over, and Maggers needs someone new.
