Sweden Yachts - 41
The Sweden Yachts 41 is a renowned performance orientated cruiser racer, well known for their high quality construction and roomy mahogany interiors. Sailing Today describe the Sweden Yachts 41 as having comparatively low freeboard, sleek lines, a broad beam, raked stem and a retroussed stern for maximum waterline length underway. She has a low coachroof that gently melds into the foredeck and a masthead rig with twin spreader, keel-stepped mast. Her underwater profile is more fulI-bodied than modern cruiser/racers and she has a well submerged forefoot giving a more gentle motion to windward. Although now in need of a little updating this example benefits from being refitted in 2009 (all rudder bearings replaced) a new 43HP Volvo engine (2009) all upholstery and cushions professionally replaced/renewed in 2011 and a new cooker In 2014. Her teak decks were also re-furbished in 2005. She has 6 berths in three cabins, and a notably large aft double berth. Owner's Comments: "Built in 1987 at Stenungsund, Sweden, we are the third owners of this amazingly elegant and powerful cruiser/racer. Fully refitted in 2009 (all rudder bearings replaced), she has crossed the Channel many times, been as far as far as the Scilly Isles and has proved "steadfast and redoubtable" (according to her review in Sailing Today). She comes fully equipped and ready to do it again, right down to the satellite communications/email and chart plotter/laptop. Family circumstances force a very reluctant sale. From her restored teak decks to upgraded sail wardrobe, NEVER LOOK BACK is just the ticket for serious passage-making and racing around the Isle of Wight (3rd in Class in 2005) - or simply cruising with family and friends."
