<h3>BOAT DETAILS</h3>
<p>&nbsp;</p><div class="featureSection cp"><h3>Description</h3><p>Ron Holland designed the half-tonners &ldquo;Silver Shamrock&rdquo; and &ldquo;Silver Jubilee&rdquo; and won the half-ton cup. <br />He then developed the hull-design as a cruiser/racer for Camper &amp; Nicholson to add to their leading range of luxury larger yachts as the &ldquo;Nicholson 303&rdquo;.<br />&ldquo;Forza&rdquo; and &ldquo;Mystic&rdquo; are matching 303&rsquo;s built in 1978 and based on the Solent at Port Hamble and Port Grimaud in St Tropez bay, France.<br />They are the boats lightly used for many years for family cruising, and occasional racing, by a former owner of a successful Class 1 racing yacht. <br />Both &ldquo;Forza&rdquo; and &ldquo;Mystic&rdquo; are currently available for sale, owing to the advancing age of the owner, but the technical details and library of photographs and details are for &ldquo;Forza&rdquo;. Please view the library of photographs attached for an overview of the excellent current condition of the boat.<br />The details for Mystic are similar and available.<br />The 303 combines the excitement of a thoroughbred racer with the comfort of a family cruiser. The photograph above is of Mystic competing in the Nioularge (now the Voiles de St Tropex). Looks relaxed, but gained 2nd place. <br />Full surveyor&rsquo;s reports on &lsquo;Forza&rsquo; from 2007 and 2012 are available. This extract illustrates surveyor Richard English&rsquo;s summary of its high standard.<br />&ldquo;good example of this well designed and well-built offshore cruising yacht . . .has many innovative ideas . . .gives the impression of being a much larger vessel.&rdquo;<br />&ldquo; . . . has been very well maintained . . .her topsides and decks, and particularly her interior, are all in exceptionally good condition . . .&rdquo;<br />&ldquo;She has a good inventory of modern navigational and safety equipment, together with the Furling Genoas and the Fully battened Mainsail . . . combine to make a vessel that is suitable for short handed, safe, long distance cruising.&rdquo; <br />Most recent advertisement for a Nicholson 303 was for one based in the West Country and advertised for &pound;18,000. It is not now advertised and no others appear to be currently available.<br /><br />The 303 combines the excitement of a thoroughbred racer with the comfort of a family cruiser.</p></div><!-- featureSection --><div class="featureSection cp"><h3>Specifications</h3><table class="featureSpecifications"><tbody><tr class="featureSpecLine"><td class="featureSpecLabel">Vessel type:</td><td class="featureSpecData">Cruiser/Racer Sloop rig</td></tr><tr class="featureSpecLine"><td class="featureSpecLabel">Designer:</td><td class="featureSpecData">Ron Holland</td></tr><tr class="featureSpecLine"><td class="featureSpecLabel">Builder:</td><td class="featureSpecData">NICHOLSON</td></tr><tr class="featureSpecLine"><td class="featureSpecLabel">Make:</td><td class="featureSpecData">Nicholson</td></tr><tr class="featureSpecLine"><td class="featureSpecLabel">Model:</td><td class="featureSpecData">303</td></tr><tr class="featureSpecLine"><td class="featureSpecLabel">Year constructed:</td><td class="featureSpecData">1978</td></tr><tr class="featureSpecLine"><td class="featureSpecLabel">HIN:</td><td class="featureSpecData">27</td></tr><tr class="featureSpecLine"><td class="featureSpecLabel">No. of engines:</td><td class="featureSpecData">1</td></tr><tr class="featureSpecLine"><td class="featureSpecLabel">Engine model:</td><td class="featureSpecData">Yanmar 2GM 2cyl DIESEL</td></tr><tr class="featureSpecLine"><td class="featureSpecLabel">Engine power:</td><td class="featureSpecData">15</td></tr><tr class="featureSpecLine"><td class="featureSpecLabel">Fuel type:</td><td class="featureSpecData">Diesel</td></tr><tr class="featureSpecLine"><td class="featureSpecLabel">Drive type:</td><td class="featureSpecData">Shaft drive</td></tr><tr class="featureSpecLine"><td class="featureSpecLabel">Length over all:</td><td class="featureSpecData">30' 2"</td></tr><tr class="featureSpecLine"><td class="featureSpecLabel">Length at waterline:</td><td class="featureSpecData">24' 17"</td></tr><tr class="featureSpecLine"><td class="featureSpecLabel">Beam:</td><td class="featureSpecData">10' 25"</td></tr><tr class="featureSpecLine"><td class="featureSpecLabel">Maximum draft:</td><td class="featureSpecData">5' 66"</td></tr><tr class="featureSpecLine"><td class="featureSpecLabel">Hull material:</td><td class="featureSpecData">Glass Fibre</td></tr><tr class="featureSpecLine"><td class="featureSpecLabel">Hull type:</td><td class="featureSpecData">Semi-displacement</td></tr><tr class="featureSpecLine"><td class="featureSpecLabel">Hull colour:</td><td class="featureSpecData">White</td></tr><tr class="featureSpecLine"><td class="featureSpecLabel">Keel type:</td><td class="featureSpecData">Fin Keel</td></tr><tr class="featureSpecLine"><td class="featureSpecLabel">Displacement:</td><td class="featureSpecData">3600 kg</td></tr><tr class="featureSpecLine"><td class="featureSpecLabel">Fuel capacity:</td><td class="featureSpecData">10 Gallons</td></tr><tr class="featureSpecLine"><td class="featureSpecLabel">Water capacity:</td><td class="featureSpecData">30 Gallons</td></tr></tbody></table><!-- featureSpecifications --></div><!-- featureSection --><div class="featureSection cp"><h3>Engine(s)</h3><p>YANMAR 2GM 15hp 2cyl DIESEL<br />CRUISING SPEED APPROX. 5 KNOTS, 6 KNOTS MAXIMUM<br />Engine maintained by Hamble Yacht Service and winterised with batteries stored.</p></div><!-- featureSection --><div class="featureSection cp"><h3>Construction</h3><p>GRP Hull, deck and superstructure<br />White hull<br />Fin keel, Spade Rudder, Tiller steering<br />Camper and Nicholson are renowned for their quality of build and the quality of build of FORZA is highlighted in the 2012 Surveyors Report which can be supplied.</p><div class="featureSection cp"><h3>Accommodation</h3><p>5 berths, double in forepeak; 3 in main cabin and pilot berth<br />New upholstery in 2012</p></div><!-- featureSection --><h3>Equipment</h3><p>Includes<br />B &amp; G NETWORK SYSTEM for WIND, SPEED AND DEPTH<br />FURAMO GPS<br />KELVIN HUGHES RADIO<br />SELDEN RODKICKER<br />BATTERY CHARGER<br />ROTASTAY II FURLING GENOAS</p><div class="featureSection cp"><h3>Sails &amp; Spars</h3><p>Fully battened mainsail<br />Two furling genoas and<br />Two spinnakers</p></div><p><!-- featureSection --></p><div class="featureSection cp"><h3>Navigation Equipment</h3><p>See equipment section</p></div><p><!-- featureSection --></p><div class="featureSection cp"><h3>Safety Equipment</h3><p>Lifebuoy<br />Fire Extinguisher<br />Lifejackets</p></div><p><!-- featureSection --></p><br /><br /></div>
