Myrmidon is in great shape for her age. She is a well built Island Trader with a head turning classic look.
Please know she has been on the hard for 2 seasons 2014 and 2015.
Her bright white hull presents itself well. The red boot stripe at the water line really sets her off. New navy blue bottom paint has been applied July 2015.
Beginning at the bow she has a long laminated bowsprit with chain rollers. The boat is ketch rigged with a forward roller furler. New port and starboard navigational lights are mounted on the rails forward.
The decks are wide and easy to navigate as you walk around this beauty. The decks are plywood core with fiberglass skins, the teak decking was removed. The decks are spongy with soft spots due to poor sealing with the original teak decking.
The 2 wooden (Spruce) masts are currently stored next to the boat and are in great shape. The owner says he has 6 sails mostly O'Neil and Dacron sails.....main, mizzen, staysail, yankee, genoa and drifter.
The closed fresh water cooled Lehman diesel 4 cylinder 61 horsepower engine has approximately 2638 hours on her. She is located under the companionway with access under the stairs and on the starboard side.
Under the aft cabin bed a 4.5kw Power Genny can be found with approximately 750 hours.
Three large hatches can be found topside providing plenty of airflow underneath in the salon along with several portholes outline the port and starboard side of the salon.
The cockpit is equipped with a classic steering wheel, teak decking, compass, a mount for a GPS, gauges for the genny, throttle and shift controls, winches and two flushed mounted speed and depth digital gauges.
Teak decking can be found on the stern behind the aft cabin comfortable to sit 2 adults while sailing the away. Two cleats are mounted on the port and starboard stern for tying up.
As you enter the salon down the companionway an electrical panel will found immediately to port along with the meters for engine hours and distance traveled.
Brackets for the Raytheon Radar 1200 and ample counter space for charts and graphs is available. Cabinet space and storage can be found throughout the salon on the port and starboard sides.
Moving forward, two large loungers are comfortably placed on both the port and starboard side. A fold out table is in the center of the salon with storage compartments inside.
The forward head is located on the port equipped with a sink and pullout shower. The large v-berth is upfront able to sleep 2 adults comfortably.
Heading aft on the starboard side is the galley equipped with twin stainless steel sinks, 3 burner stove tops, an oven, and deep fridge with ice box.
The aft cabin is expansive easily sleeping 2 adults comfortably. The aft cabin is equipped with it's private head, sink and shower. A large hatch above the bed provides fresh air and a great view of the stars. The sole of the cabin is beautiful wood throughout.
