<p>This Blue Water Cruising Yacht was designed by Hywel Price and built by Bristol Steel Boats.&nbsp; A Bermudan Cutter Rig, Steel&nbsp; Multi-Chine Hull Construction, 6 Berths in 3 Cabins, Center Board Keel, Wheel Steering and originally designed for single handed sailing.&nbsp; Built in 1999 and commissioned in 2000.</p>

Further aft behind the galley is access to the aft quarter which provides a useful storage area.<br /></span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;">Opposite the galley on the port side is access to an aft cabin with a separate chart table, instrument panel, storage lockers and double berth.</span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;">The main saloon has a centre fixed table with a folding leaf on one side and bench seating on either side.&nbsp; There are also two pilot berths one on either side.&nbsp; The upholstery is finished in a dark green velor dralon fabric, joinery finished in teak, marine ply and maple veneer head linings.&nbsp; The head height in the main saloon is at least 6'6&quot;.</span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;">Further forward on the port side is a heads for day use equipped with a sea toilet and wash basin..&nbsp; <h3>Icelander 43 - Broker's Comments</h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Hywel Price the designer of this yacht was an interesting character, originally born in Chester, with a career that spanned racing motor cycles to re-building crashed RAF aircraft, working in a car factory, training as a master carpenter and working in the theatre&nbsp; before settling in Bristol.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Price had throughout his life enjoyed sailing old gaffers around the UK coastline and fishing for lobster in the Isle of Man</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Bristol is where he took over a boat yard and was responsible for the design of&nbsp; Icelander boats as well as designing and building one of the first yachts to take part in the Falmouth to Azores and back race&nbsp; in 1975.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Hywel Price made a major contribution to the marine industry with his initiative designs and built a number of boats using different materials before his death in 2012.&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">................................................................................................................................................</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">This yacht is designed for high latitude cruising and has been rigged for short handed sailing.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">The current owner has owned this yacht since September 2008 and has carried out the following additional works:-</p> <ul> <li style="text-align: justify;">Upgraded electrics - 2 Vetus Panels, Separate Navigation &amp; Domestic Distribution Panels, Battery Management and new switch panels.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">All sanitary pipe work and Jabsco pumps replaced in 2013.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Shower Holding Tank fitted in 2013.</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">July 2014 Re-Anti Fouled with Joutun Anti-Foul</li> </ul> <p><span style="color: #0000ff;"><em><strong>During 2015 The Vendor Circumnavigate the UK on his own.</strong></em></span></p>
