First class workmanship in selected mahogany, hand rubbed and treated to a silk smooth finish.
Two comfortable berths with infill to create large double bed, length 2.05m (6' 9"). Stowage below with lockers above the berths. One bureau with drawers and one hanging locker. There is a door between the fore cabin and the passage way. Skylight and portholes are opening.
STARBOARD FORWARD CABIN:
On the starboard side is a comfortable two bunk cabin with a chest of drawers and a hanging locker. Opening skylight.
FORWARD HEADS COMPARTMENT:
On port side is a roomy toilet compartment with separate shower stall. Electric shower waste discharge. Pressurised hot and cold fresh water. China wash basin. Jabsco pump action sea toilet. Mirror, cupboards. Teak grating over drained floor. Opening skylight.
L-sofa on starboard side with in-fill to make double berth. Large dropleaf table (currently stored ashore) with bottle stowage in centre. Two comfortable arm chairs on the port side with cupboard in between. Stowage behind both sides. Double opening skylights. Stereo radio/cassette player. Headroom 1.93m (6' 4").
Pressurised hot and cold fresh water. Double stainless steel sinks. Insulated (4") ice box 220 litres with electric fridge compressor. Force 10 LPG 2 burner hob with oven in gimbals. Lockers for crockery, drawers, waste bin etc.
Chart table with chart locker. Drawers. Navigation and radio equipment. Electrical switch panel with switches and breakers. Volt meter, fresh water and fuel gauge. 2 skylights + 4 portholes are opening.
Passage way to aft cabin: Headroom 1.70m (5' 9"). Freezer compartment behind navigator's seat. Oil skin hanging locker. Access to the engine room. Door to the aft cabin.

Volvo Penta TMD41 143HP 6-cylinder turbo charged diesel engine with integral reduction/reversing gearbox, fresh water cooled. Rebuilt (2005). Single lever engine control. Rigid coupling to a stainless steel shaft driving a fixed 3-bladed bronze propeller. Rope cutter. Diesel generator, mounted in engine space (new 2003).

Three built-in stainless steel diesel tanks (425 litres, 135 litres and 340 litres).
1400 litres fresh water in GRP tank under floor in main saloon. Pressurised hot & cold fresh water in galley and both heads compartments. Hot water via heat exchanger on engine or by 230v immersion element in calorifier.
12v system, for engine start. Battery charged by 12v engine driven alternator or 230v battery charger. Additional 12v battery for dedicated generator start.

Sloop rig with 2 sets of spreaders. Mast and boom manufactured in white painted anodised aluminium alloy by Seldén. Spinnaker pole stowed on mast. Solid boom vang. Hydraulic in-mast mainsail furling, hydraulic headsail furling by Reckmann.
Standing rigging is 1 x 19 stainless steel wire with swaged eye terminals at the top and swaged stud terminals at the bottom. The rigging screws are stainless steel Hasselfors open body type. The backstay is controlled by a Navtec hydraulic backstay tensioner. A removable inner forestay with running backstays is available to set a staysail. New standing rigging 2010.

Hull No. 70. GRP solid laminate shell, stiffened with GRP stringers and frames, with main and partial plywood bulkheads bonded with GRP to the structure. The topsides are painted with 2-part polyurethane scheme. The deck, coachroof and cockpit is a GRP sandwich moulding bonded to the hull moulding with an overlap lay-up of GRP.The bulwarks have a teak capping and the decks are laid with teak planking on top of the GRP structure. Long fin keel moulded as an integral part of the hull shell with the lead ballast encapsulated within. GRP rudder on a stainsteel stock with external straps, supported with a skeg incorporating a bronze heel fitting.
We purchased Frangi at Dartmouth January 2003 as the flagship boat for devonsailing.co.uk. From 2003 to 2010 she had a MCA category A (worldwide) Certificate. Her working year comprised of 2 circumnavigations of Britain and Ireland followed by an autumn trip from London to Gran Canaria where she would take part in the ARC (Atlantic Rally for Cruisers) before spending the winter and spring cruising the Caribbean. She would return to England in April/May of each year. In 2007 she was featured in the BBC Holiday Show making her passage from Antigua to Dartmouth and this can be accessed with the following links.
Following the sale of Devon Sailing Frangi was based in London and is used as an office/flat from her current base at St Katherine Docks by Tower Bridge.
The boat is currently moored in a prime position within St Katherine Docks and as of April 2015, a 12 month contract has been taken to retain the mooring. A purchaser may be able to retain this mooring, subject to the harbour office approval. In recent years a number of boats within the dock have become either semi-permanent or permanent residential moorings but again this is subject to harbour office approval.
In 2011 she was put into dry dock for 18 months and had the hull stripped and an epoxy treatment carried out by authorised agents. Unfortunately this work failed and in 2013 she was returned to the yard and a further epoxy treatment undertaken. Unfortunately the yard in question went into liquidation and whilst the work was completed the hull remained damp in certain areas. In March 2013 a full MCA survey was undertaken on the boat and a MCA category 2 certificate was issued and this is technically still in force although much of the safety equipment is now out of date.
At the same time these works were carried out a quote was obtained to replace the existing aluminium windows with new stainless steel, but unfortunately when the order was placed the wrong windows were delivered and as a result a number of the aluminium windows are showing signs of electrolysis and the windows to the forward heads has been replaced with a seaworthy, yet temporary, replacement.
The teak decks to the boat have been resealed on a number of occasions but they are now worn to the point where a complete overhaul or replacement is required.
At the present time the boat is seaworthy (subject to safety equipment upgrading/ servicing) and her MCA certificate is due for renewal in May 2015. It is proposed to let this expire rather than upgrade all the life rafts and other safety equipment.
The boat is VAT registered thus giving the opportunity for a commercial purchaser to recover their input VAT.
