I happen to like these Cobra 850's they are a good safe family type boat with plenty of room aboard, a nice size cockpit and wide side decks.
They made around 500 of these 850's this I would hazard a guess at being one of the last ones made, being a bilge keel she does have the ability to go places the deeper keels dream of going?
This one has had very little use with the current owner and after the survey in 2009 the owner has completed the vast majority of the work that was mentioned. The standing rigging was renewed in 2010 and as I say had very little use since.
BUKH 20 hp diesel engine
Shaft drive coupled to a 3 x blade bronze prop
6 x berth
1 x manual heads
2 x burner hob
2 x batteries 12v system
Sloop Rigged (new standing rigging 2010)
2 x Halyard winches
2 x Sheet winches
Plough Anchor chain & warp (manual windlass)
PLEASE NOTE THIS BOAT IS AWAITING A FULL VALET - MORE PHOTOS COMING SOON.
I have known this boat for some years now and I am well aware that she has had very little use in the current ownership.
The vast majority of the items picked up on the survey have been addressed and she is currently undergoing a valet.
A nice little family cruising boat that has a good reputation, these boats are safe and comfortable to be aboard, needless to say you wouldn't win any races in her but she has other attributes like her ability to sail where others cant.
