Baltic - 80

This was one of the first large composite racing yachts in the World. The Naval Architecture was done by Douglas Peterson and the interior layout and structural engineering by Baltic Yachts in-house designers.
Midnight Sun was developed and built for a well known Scandinavian racing owner. The main goal was to maximize racing performance, hence a flush racing deck. The original interior did allow for a comfortable owners cabin and a fairly good size galley, but otherwise was very open, light and racing minded. The composite construction consisted mainly of unidirectional rowing around an especially light end grain balsa core. This boat was raced worldwide, mostly in Europe and North America, and competed in the Maxi I.O.R. class.
After some years of racing she had a complete refit in 1991.During this refit a complete cruising interior and deck house was installed. MIDNIGHT SUN of LONDON had further extensive refit in 2004/5 and is a beautiful cruising yacht
