Bayliner - 285 Ciera
BAYLINER 285 07 Show Boat(SIBS)
Now...this is a rarity first and foremost in Ireland and possibly the best for sale currently in Europe??
I want to take you back to 2007 for a moment..As LARSON dealers at the time,we had the 274 Cabrio which sold by the bucketload at both the Irish and UK boatshows but personally,I couldnt see why when compared to the BAYLINER 285 at the same money...Explain??
First off,Bayliner got it SO right with this boat from launch in 2000..Too big to tow,but who tows these in Europe anyway??2nd..1 engine option, the right one for cruising in the 30's,3rd.. a brilliant deep V hull with 21 degree deadrise for sea keeping above its pay grade,4th...6,YES 6 berths,5th...side dinette,6th...big galley,7th...bright airy spacious, standard spec was good and options werent expensive...will I go on??
This particular boat was the Southampton International Boatshow(SIBS) model off the stand and the current owner bought it there and then over a LARSON from us at the time..Cant win 'em all I thought...
She came with GPS,VHF,Air Con with reverse heat, windlass, shorepower upgrade, electric toilet, bow spotlight, extended camper package, basically everything you could get at the time.
She has done approx 280 FRESHWATER River Shannon hours since, serviced and maintained by a respected local engineer since new, slept on 3 times and has never ventured further than about 5 miles from the end of the owners garden..Currently being valeted and having every last bulb checked over for sale, this really is a fantastic opportunity to buy what,in my opinion,is the best Sportscruiser for YEARS!And yes,I know you can buy them for USD$44k and bring them in,CE them, paint the hulls blue, fit new canvas, replace the risers, improve the spec...hang on...why bother??This is the best there is,its here,on the water, ready to go,priced to sell and needs NOTHING done.
I would buy it myself if I could afford it,I seriously would. This is a boat that is nearly new for less than half of its replacement cost..Boats of this ilk are rare now here in Eire and when they are gone, they are gone..A lot of them have already exported and this one will probably be no different so bite the bullet, dig deep and enjoy yourself for years to come!!!!...
