Mr and Mrs Neville Duke commissioned the boat in 1966, it was designed by Frederick R Parker of Southampton in 1966 to Lloyds 100A1, built by Joyce Marine Ltd, Southampton and then completed by Port Hamble Ltd in 1967.
Mr J F Hall of St J. Consulate of Portugal, Scotland was the second owner and it was berthed berthed in Tarbert East. Attending many Golf opens.
The next owners were Linn Products Ltd who carried out a major refit in 1984. [De-masting, fairing to the hull, change of livery, Sauna & a general refit]. She was used as a Hospitality Ship out of Inverkip.
Southern Flight then came into the hands of the Kathy and Tony Moore in 1996 with the object of live aboard, private cruising and looking around the world.
They cruised extensively from England to Ireland, France, Spain, Portugal, Sardinia, Tunisia, Malta, Turkey, Georgia, Russia, Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, Istanbul, Greece, Algeria, Morocco and Gibraltar. In 2009 she was bought in Gibraltar by marine engineer Miles Mitchell who sailed her to Portimao in the Algarve and has spent two years there completely restoring and renovating her.
