Doral - 310 SE
- Stock #090720 - Loaded Freshwater Cruiser With Trailer! Make an Offer! This is what the experts have to say about this 2002 Doral 310 SE: For 2002, Doral has completed the renovation of its cruiser line that began four model years ago with the introduction of the 360 SE., last year's new 330 SE and now, the 310 SE. At 30'6", the 310 replaces Doral's popular 300 models. The new 310, however, is sure to endear itself to dedicated cruising boaters, with its careful combination of cruising amenities and express-cruiser style. Like its siblings (the 33- and 36-footers also have optional inboards), the 310 has sterndrive power, providing maximum speed and sporty handling. Big enough to stand up to the variety of wave and weather conditions encountered by seasoned cruisers, the 310 is built for comfort as well as safety. First, though, let's talk about that speed. With twin 5.7-litre Volvo Penta GXi powerplants in the engine room, the test boat I drove has great acceleration and a radar-verified top speed of 51.4 mph at 5,200 rpm. The two twin-propeller DuoProp drives can certainly take some credit for the 310's acceleration (0-30 mph in just over eight seconds) and slalom-test talent. At cruising speeds, you'll reach your destination quickly: the boat runs effortlessly at 30 mph at 3,300 rpm. At 3,500 rpm, cruising speed is 33 mph; at 4,000 rpm it rises to 37.3 mph. All the while, the driver is ensconced in luxury at the helm, with a fully adjustable wooden steering wheel and well-cushioned double-wide seat with a flip-up seat-bottom. Cruising boats, however, are about much more than just "getting there." Living aboard an express cruiser means enjoying life al fresco, in the cockpit. The 310 SE's cockpit layout makes sense for a cruising family, but could also entertain good-sized crowds. In one of Doral's innovations, that easy passage remains even when the engine hatch (that raises the entire starboard-side aft settee) is lifted. For seating there's the helm seat and a full length chaise-type lounge in the companion position to port (another Doral cruiser signature). The U-shaped wraparound settee aft to starboard (another Doral innovation already found in the 25- and 33-footers) pulls out to provide an expanded space. Belowdecks, the 310 SE has a full fibreglass liner, adding construction solidity and easing cleanup. The portside galley has sink, stove and microwave. The head compartment to port has moulded easy-clean surfaces, with a Vacuflush marine head. Galley cupboards have cherry wood surfaces, adding warmth to the interior's light-coloured largely vinyl surfaces. A semicircular wood table forward, at a semicircular settee, also adds a touch of class. Sleeping accommodations are spacious, for a 30-footer. The mid-cabin, with a large double berth to starboard, a full-headroom seating area to port and two opening portlights, is really the master cabin. Ahead of the circular settee-dinette forward, there's a double berth. For practical considerations, the 310 SE also gets top marks. Like all Doral cruisers, every available nook and cranny has been converted to storage space. (As all cruising boaters know, you can't have too much of that.) The walkaround side decks have plenty of handholds, the foredeck layout is uncluttered and there's storage for fenders on a transom bracket and ropes in a transom locker. One aspect of the 310 SE's appeal, however, has nothing to do with practicalities and little to do with its performance. With absolutely up-to-the-minute good looks, this is one hot-looking boat. It will take you wherever you want to cruise in high style. This listing has now been on the market a couple months. Please submit any and all offers today!
