This 1980 version of the rugged Colvic Watson motor sailer class is well presented and benefits from a new engine with only 25 hours on the clock. The excellent sea keeping qualities of the type will be enhanced by the unique cutter rig which will enhance sailing performance and speed.
Currently ashore, she is a reluctant sale due to ill health. She comes well equipped and is ready to go. A 2015 survey which made only minor recommendations, since attended to, is available for serious enquirers.
Mithril offers good accommodation.
The wheelhouse is fully enclosed and offers excellent all around visibility and shelter in all weathers. The helm position has a large comfortable seat and good instrumentation. There is a double settee seat located opposite the helm position.
The saloon has a table available, which stows away in the fore cabin when not in use. The saloon offers comfortable seating and the settee berth converts to a double. This means a total of four berths are available, two in the fore cabin and a double in the saloon.
The forecabin is accessed through a door from the saloon and provides a comfortable berth and storage.
The separate heads compartment is located to starboard and is equipped with a sea toilet and drop down wash basin.
The well equipped galley is located to starboard and features an Eastham Maxol cooker with twin burners, oven and grill, plus a stainless steel sink with gas water heater. There is ample storage.
Access to the engine compartment is via a large hatch in the wheelhouse. The original engine has been replaced with a Mermaid MP 437 diesel, which has only 25 hrs running time.
Her Bermudan cutter rig means that she can fly a furling yankee, and a furling staysail in addition to her main sail. All sails are in serviceable condition.
She is long keel with bilge plates.
