The Westerly Fulmar was designed by Ed Dubois and is considered by many to be one of his best designs. She offers an elegant family cruiser which combines good seakeeping qualities with slick performance.
She is currently stored ashore on the banks of the Mersey.
Fulmars are frequently the boat of choice for sailing schools due to their robust construction and efficient handling.
This fin keel version was built in 1983 and has been well maintained by her present owners.
The original engine has been taken out and replaced with a 24hp Lombardini diesel which has been lightly used. A Featherstream 3 folding propeller has been fitted. Other features include a purpose built boarding platform complete with cleats and a pair of davits for the tender.
The cockpit seats and main hatch have also been replaced.
The accommodation comprises a total of six berths, a double in the fore cabin with an infill, two settee berths in the saloon, one of which converts to a double and a further double in the aft cabin. The saloon enjoys warm air heating and shore power is available.
The large chart table is located on the port side of the saloon.
The saloon table folds down when not in use. The well designed galley located to starboard is equipped with a twin burner Plastimo Neptune cooker with oven and grill, an Isotherm fridge and sink.
The separate heads compartment located on the port side is fitted with an electric toilet with hand basin.
Included in the inventory is a life raft, tender and outboard. A storage cradle may be available by separate negotiation.
