This beautiful Sea Trader 41 is a long keel sloop, and was designed by E S Barens and built in Durban by Desmo Engineering, completed in 1988. Originally Junk rig, she was then sailed to the UK. A complete refit has been carried out since then and she now has been re rigged as a Bermudan masthead sloop. The original engine has been replaced with a Volvo MD 2040 diesel.
A 2014 survey is available for serious enquirers. It comments favourably on the strength of the construction and the quality of the internal joinery valuing her at £96,000.
Marra is an Ocean going passage maker and has been cruised widely including visits to St Lucia and Madeira.
There are six berths available in three cabins. There are two berths in the fore cabin which has an adjacent heads compartment. A further two berths are situated in the saloon. In the owners cabin, situated aft, there is a large double berth which benefits from a fully sprung mattress. The large ensuite heads compartment is equipped with shower, wash basin and storage.
The well equipped galley is fitted with an ENO cooker with twin hob and oven. There are two stainless steel sinks with pressurised hot and cold water, plus hand pumped fresh and salt water.
