Description
Clinker sailing dinghy 18 ft Clinker yacht classic wooden day boat 18 ft, open gaff rig with inboard. 'Shoveler' is an example of the open auxiliary sailing yachts built by Edgar Cove of Salcombe, Devon during the 1950's. In 1994 the sail area was increased with a taller rig and bowsprit. The round bilge hull is clinker planked on steamed timbers. The drop keel of steel plate. She is three quarter decked has a slightly raked stem and a transom stern. Topsides, deck and internals are varnished.
