The Moody 56 is a centre-cockpit cutter rigged blue water cruising yacht designed by renowned naval architect Bill Dixon.
Capable of good sailing speeds and with an ergonomic deck layout that enables a short-handed crew to sail offshore for
extended periods in safety.
Originally launched for the Genoa Boat Show in October 2004 and commissioned for her first owner in 2005. The current,
second, owner purchased INCANTAMENTO in July 2010 and has cruised during his summer holidays around Sardinia, Corsica, the Italian coast and the Balearics with his family a and professional skipper. He keeps the boat in nice shape, has her serviced and maintained professionally and upgrades her regularly. He put the boat on the market to upgrade to a bigger boat. Please contact Hanne Niederbracht at the Palma office for more information.

Inventory
NAVIGATION EQUIPMENT
In Cockpit
In GRP housing over companionway and from left to right;
Raymarine ST60 flush style Autopilot Control, ST60 Analogue Wind Direction with digital true/apparent wind speed, ST60 Tridata, ST60 analogue Rudder Angle.
Raymarine E80 colour chart plotter/radar display mounted under fixed cockpit screen on port side.

At Chart Table
Raymarine E80 colour chart plotter/radar display.
Raymarine radar (forward facing dome mounted on mast).
Simrad RT64 VHF.

ENTERTAINMENT
JVC radio/CD player at chart table with cockpit and saloon loud speakers.
Sony Bravia flat screen TV mounted on adjustable bracket to port side of main saloon, with mast mounted TV antenna.

COVERS AND CUSHIONS
Fixed cockpit screen with white painted aluminium frame.
Light beige sprayhood on stainless steel frame with grab rail.(2015)
Light beige cockpit bimini on stainless steel frame (2015)
White cockpit seating cushions with blue piping.
White aft coachroof sun bed cushions with blue piping.

DECK
Simpson Lawrence stainless steel electric davits with 225kg safe working load (pair), new in 2010.
Large aft lazarette locker for general stowage.
Aft storage locker for gas bottles.
Stainless steel pulpit with teak step and Aquasignal navigation lights.
Stainless steel pushpits with teak corner seats.
Teak cockpit table with extending side and forward facing leaves, mounted on stainless steel frame with grab rail and central drinks storage.
Bridge
MOODY 56
Built by Marine Projects, UK in 2004
Designed by Bill Dixon

CONSTRUCTION
Hand laid glassfibre construction with isophthalic gelcoat backed by initial lay up of powder bound mat and isophthalic resin
Balsa cored sandwich construction for increased panel stiffness and optimum weight distribution
Hull stiffened by bonded in bulkheads plus frames and stringers
Underwater sections from stern to keel further stiffened by utilising an Aramid (Kevlar) laminate to increase impact resistance
Transom includes powered hinge down transom door/ swimming platform
Swept teak laid ring plus fore and aft coachroof areas
Deck stiffened with Balsa core, with plywood backing pads in way of deck fittings
Deck edge incorporates raised bulwark with teak cap rail
Inset cavita line in topsides
Painted boot top, waterline and antifouling
Halmatic Dark Blue Hull

UNDERWATER
Fin keel with vestigial bulb
GRP semi balanced rudder mounted on half depth skeg with bronze heel fitting
Rudder supporated with stainless steel bar rudder stock

LOA 17.70m
BEAM 4.85m
DRAFT 2.29m
DISPLACEMENT 20060kg
Machinery
ONE YANMAR 4JH3 THE DIESEL ENGINE
Max prop 3 bladed feathering shaft driven propeller

ELECTRICS
24v domestic system.
12v engine and generator start system.
220v AC system from generator and shore power.
Battery Banks:
24v domestic system comprising 8 no.100ah 12v batteries in two separate banks;
