Yacht history – 1982 -1999 Family sailed around the world, 1999-2004 mostly laid up, 2004 present owner in Med.
The simplicity of her rig creates an uncluttered deck and ensures sailing onboard is to be a doddle. Her recently installed Perkins 4108 50hp coupled with upgrades to the onboard wiring (2007) will give the new owner total piece of mind. Below accommodation consists of 2 large double cabins with the option to convert the saloon table to a double berth for the short staying guest, two heads service both cabins and a well equipped galley provides the onboard chef ample space to exercise their culinary skills
A super, unique yacht available for €69,000
She was built by Freedom Yachts UK in 1982 for a Canadian family who lived aboard her until 1997. During that time they had two children, transited the Panama Canal both ways and sailed the Atlantic four times.
She was then bought by her next owner, a professional British skipper, in Palma de Majorca and he lived on her there until 2002 when he sailed her back to the UK and stored her on the hard at Yarmouth Isle of Wight. He sold her to the current owners in 2005.
During 2006/7 she had a major rebuild at Hythe Marina. Internal work completed: totally new plumbing and wiring, new water tank, new navigation system (Raymarine C series inc. radar), new heads, new berths, new decoration. Externally her rig was changed from the Freedom to the simpler and better Nonsuch wishbones, fitted with new sails, liferaft, all lines, anchors and decking plus top to bottom new paint. By the time she sailed from UK in 2008 she had been totally renewed and brought up to date with the latest equipment.
The new owners planned to sail her from the Solent to India and back for a work project but Somali pirates persuaded them to fly the final part instead. Nevertheless she is equipped for blue waters: SSB radio, Hydrovane self-steering, hydraulic autopilot and steering, solar panels, Duogen wind and air generator, sea anchor and watermaker. She has sailed all over the Mediterranean, as far east as Suez.
Now she has become a floating villa, in the water all summer and on the hard in winter. The owners have reached the age where they need to downsize and so very reluctantly are offering their much loved yacht and floating home for sale.
