We were instantly attracted to the Pilot House design which provides exceptional living accommodation including a galley that works as well on the move as in a marina. Working with the Jaccobsson family to create our "perfect" boat was a delight. Their standards of craftsmanship and engineering have proved faultless. It is also reassuring to have their continued support for spares and advice - there is nothing like being able to ring "the man who built the boat". We generally sail as a couple which at least on passage means single-handed sailing: the hydraulic reefing systems, electric winches, self tacking jib and pilothouse for bad weather deliver a sea-manlike solution. Jackamy has carried us around the world on a 20 month circumnavigation and is currently lying in Sicily. We are moving to a larger boat to accommodate a growing family with grandchildren. Leaving Jackamy will be a wrench; she's looked after us well through storms and calms - and has always been the most admired yacht in the anchorage.
