Description
‘Snowbird’ is an aft cockpit river cruiser with a semi-displacement hull built by Jack Broom Boats in Norfolk in 1982. She underwent a refit in 2010, including rewiring and cavity insulation throughout. The cockpit is fully covered by a canopy fitted to a metal frame and folding screen, and comprises bench seating for 4 people, a helmsman’s seat, and a table mounted on the engine cover. A split door and steps lead to the cabin, which comprises-: Port side locker and galley with built in two ring hob and stainless steel sink and drainer with cold water supply, tiled worktop and surround and lockers below; starboard side WC, fully tiled and equipped with a portable chemical toilet, starboard side seating and single berth; forward double ‘V’ berth with storage underneath and cabin hatch. The cabin is lined in pine tongue and groove with plywood headlining, carpeted and fitted with 12v spot lights and Venetian blinds.
Mechanically, a BMC 1.5 diesel inboard engine is connected to an Enfield outdrive. Additional equipment and fittings include-: 15” LCD TV, inverter, 240v electrics, 3 x 12v batteries, fire extinguishers, Morse single lever engine control, instrument panel, navigation lights, twin horns, windscreen wiper (may not work), stainless steel pulpit rail and hand rails, canopy frame, fenders and ropes.
Boat Safety Certificate valid until 2013.
