Description
‘Santorini’ is an aft cockpit river/estuary cruiser with a planning hull built by Fairline Boats at Oundle in 1980. She has a generous cockpit with bench seating and helmsman’s and navigator’s seats under a spacious canopy. Deck hatches give access to the engine, fuel tank, bilges and storage lockers. A hinged door and steps lead to the cabin with accommodation comprising-: Port side WC with porta potti, starboard side galley with two ring hob and grill, stainless steel sink with cold water tap and lockers below, and forward dinette with seating that converts to a twin ‘V’ berth, also with storage underneath and a deck hatch in the cabin roof. The cabin is finished with upholstered and cushioned seating and carpet. A for’d deck hatch provides anchor storage and acts as a gas locker.
Mechanically, the Volvo Penta AQ115 petrol inboard engine is connected to a Volvo Penta outdrive. Additional equipment and fittings include-: bilge pump, 12v battery, fire extinguishers, single lever engine control, instrument panel, navigation lights, windscreen wiper, anchor, stainless steel pulpit rail, wooden hand rails, canopy frame, fenders and ropes, trim tabs, small bathing platform, fire extinguishers and radio/cassette player.
Over 50 Vixens were built in the 1970s before the model was replaced by the Fairline Holiday.
